Big News!!!!
A project I direct, Keywords for Black Louisiana (K4BL) launched its public beta of documents and stories from Gulf Coast Louisiana’s French and Spanish archive. You can follow the updates on the project on the LifexCode IG or on the LifexCode substack. This has been a labor of love and community for me and everyone involved. I saw the cover of Radiohead’s album Rainbows posted on Miss Benny’s stories which sent me down a memory rabbit hole fit for a child of Chicago who grew up on the Northside among rocking white folks. “15 Step” is nasty work. The video below is from this post and worth enjoying:
