I’m on Twitter hiatus for the summer and more and more of what I’d post there I’m beginning to post here.
But I hear that Twitter is worse than ever before, so what was a break until June, I extended to August and I who knows if I ever drag my boredom back there. Makes me sad, honestly.
In the meantime…

We Were Outside: U.S. Latina/o Studies Rally at UMD on April 18, 2008
Today in deep dives into my archive, we’ve got the student organizers who helped create Latinx Studies (I use the X) at UMD. Shout out to the LSWG (Latina/o Studies Working Group) at UMD and our fearless leader Robb Hernandez. (Robb and I have lost touch, but Google tells me he’s an associate prof at Fordham and that is a beautiful thing to see). The USLT minor at UMD was established that same year and continues today.
